rest in pieces old “friend”. I actually really hated this rig, but it allowed for 10 distinct triggers and the pvc tubes worked great for loop trigger while the pd-8’s handled more drum like duties. It survive the belly of planes in nothing more than a duffle bag and over almost 4 years of sporadic gigs, installations and other abuse. It only needed one small wire resoldered in one of the tube triggers. It was treated with utter disdain. Switched from an old Alesis DM and Akai Mpx to just an Alesis sample rack, which is built a little wimpy, but really works great for me. Anywho, my point is, in general no one cares about shows, but I got some killer workouts.
The new trigger rig build is almost completely flat and will actually need a bit of a weighted plate to affix it to an xstand or something. working on the wiring harnesses here and there, no rush, like I said, no big demand for live dance industrial just douchebags with weak “drops” and shitty horn loops from a $20,000, $50,000, ???,000 table of gear they can ghost knob.
the roland pads were from a trade, the wood, pc, foam were all scavenged and customised, and a few dollars in piezo discs, 2 dollar shop bungees? fuck you steve aoki, fuck you. -xxxooo C2
